Mangaluru: Young girl kicks women police in station – Video goes viral

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Sep 10: A video has gone viral on social media of a young girl behaving in a rash manner with the police personnel in a police station of the city with the caption that she is a drug addict.

Clarifying on the matter, city police commissioner Anupam Agarwal said, “Officials of the excise department received a message that a young girl is behaving rashly in a medical shop at Pumpwell on September 1. As the officials tried to take her for a narcotic test on the suspicion that she must have consumed drugs, she behaved in a violent manner with the personnel.

“Later, when the girl was taken to hospital with the help of women police personnel for a narcotic test, the result was negative. She was handed over to her parents and is getting medical treatment in hospital at present. Investigation is continuing on this matter.”

The whole incident is shameful and i condemn it. As the girl was a minor child protection has taken suo motive action and served notice. Now our court will not sit quiet as it tarnished our image.

Totally unorifessuibak, It is an atrocity by the women p;olice against a minor girl. These women deserved their kicks and, even more, kicked out of the police force to which they bring disrepute, and court marshalled (or "police" marshalled).

Complete abuse of power by the Police, purposely making the video viral from the police station itself, claiming that she was a drug addict, when she clearly wasn't, just to teach her a lesson for kicking them.. Don't expect any sympathy from the public as the victim here is the girl, not the Police.

Law enforcement officers are trained with restraining techniques, hand cufflinks techniques by which they can carrycot their duties in a professional manner. But the question is Can I expect that in my country? Where sometimes even for suggesting improvements in the system you will be called as unpatriotic

Reminds of similar types of news reports coming from UP and Bihar; pathetic to say the least!! Now where are all the self proclaimed guardians of women? If the recent hostel washroom incident was given so much of publicity why not in this case; proof is on the video shot and publicized by someone inside their safe haven; no chance to say that they didn't know who shot the video! Prima facie, it appears like a deliberate attempt to indulge in such inhuman and unethical games, which is never expected from a law enforcing department!!

Police did their part but shooting and making it viral is bad. the one who made it viral should be punished that too inside the police station. looks like lady police need training how to handle smoothly.

We definitely need some literate women & men police who are aware of mental health, even if she was in the influence of drugs the police or anyone have no right to play with her mental state . Anything could have happened to that girl . It’s really sad that our country has such poor law force . These women cops need to be suspended.

In such commotion the Men police officers were spell bound and watch the wrestling peacefully. Here I read someone's comments blaming the duty officers. Law of the land is equal to all and why in this case the aggressive grown-up girl was shown so much leniency? If at all she had any sharp weapon or object, she would have inflicted some injuries to police.

Dear Sir.... with all due respect.......you have no idea as to what the reality is....it is very upsetting when people talk with authority, even though they do not know what the reality is.....it is completely alright to interrogate someone.....but, there is a way to do it.... I can vouch for the fact that, when we are at the receiving end,we would most certainly like to be treated humanely, with dignity and respect.... this girl is not a criminal.... she has not violated any law of the land.... what leniency are we talking about, Sir?. I am a professional in the field of Mental health and that is why, I am saying, what I am saying.... Is it a crime to have a stress related problem, Sir????

Being working for a state law enforcing department, the personnel should know how to discern and handle different situations in different ways rather than considering every person as a dangerous rowdy and get into a physical altercation with the person concerned! Imagine if sweeping powers would go into their hands what would happen??

Police is doing good job. But in these type of cases police should have some knowledge of identifying Mentally disturbed persons and Drug addicted persons. At least some psychology training must be given. Poor girl also has been trashed by police.I felt very sorry to see the video

Instead of kicking or hurting each other or lying in hospital for treatment and sometimes get addicted to these psychiatric medicines, One needs Divine Prophet Bajinder Singh for all these typeof cases, Calms hundreds possessed men and women within minutes, sets them free of their infirmities, mental, spiritual, bondages or chains or physical sickness with Divine word of god and powers as Holy Scripture says people get destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Policemen are supposed to know how to restrain an agitated person for, whatever reason she was doing it; not get into an argument and fracas with her! If inside the police station, they cannot restrain an ordinary girl just imagine what is their capacity outside in realtime agitations by groups or crowds?? Their duty was to restrain her and take her to the government hospital for necessary action!! Over and above that taking a video shooting and making it viral with a derogatory title is the limit!!

In this case i dont support the actions of the police personal. This should be handled in a professional manner and by a trained staff which is lacking in the department. Shooting and sharing the video is against the privacy law. The girl shoudl take legal action against the accused.

Yes, I saw the video, she was kicking the women police and the women police were also beating her. May be she has some kind of disease, so the police should not beat her. Just to resist and catch her legs and hands. And rehabilitation or medical treatment is must for her.

A person can very easily lose his temper in this highly charged socio-economic atmosphere with negative news flowing in from all sides, especially if he/she is under stress, intoxicated, or a very emotional person! IMHO, summoning "excise officials" was totally unwarranted even if the complainants assumed she was high on alcohol! They could have directly summoned the lady police and handled the situation easily; but taking the accused to the station and again getting into an argument with an already agitated person and allowing someone to video shoot the incident with a defamatory title, and allow it to go viral is not acceptable both morally and legally (if I am not wrong)! BTW, it's surprising that the police force couldn't handle/restrain a single woman inside the station! The above is a very personal unbiased opinion based on news available in the public domain; please do your own research!

Humans can be possessed by Divine spirits of love, peace, joy, self control, humility, gentleness, kindness...positive spirits or evil spirits of pride, lust, greed, anger, jealousy, hatred, envy... negative spirits. Holy Scripture says humans are temple of God but can be temple of evil spirits also because of everyone's freewill choices given by God. Do good and imbibe good spirits do bad and imbibe bad spirits. With repentance or deliverance one can become good and no medicine will do magic except calm people for sometime, some days but one may become addicted these medicines. Best way to surrender guilt, bad habits, addictions to God in prayers to overcome over the time.

The Police personnel involved should be ashamed of their heinous behavior towards an innocent girl... there was the language barrier... I understand that...but, behavior like this towards an innocent girl who is mentally stressed out, is simply atrocious, unwarranted and unparliamentary. Also, the title of this news segment should be changed to Ruthless, Uncouth Cops harass and abuse an innocent girl under stress without any evidence. The Police are supposed to protect innocent people and not harass them. Very very disappointed in the justice system... these cops deserve some disciplinary action for misbehavior towards the innocent girl.
