Mangaluru: BD activists waylay vehicle transporting beef illegally - Three arrested

Mangaluru, Sep 11: Bajrang Dal (BD) activists waylaid a vehicle that was supplying beef from Jokatte to beef stalls of the city, at Urwa Store on Sunday September 10.

The activists handed over three men from the vehicle to the police.

The arrested are identified as Dawood from Kalavaru, Badruddin, a resident of Jokatte and Yasin from Jokatte.

It is learnt that they were transporting more than 2.5 quintal of beef in the vehicle.

A case in this connection is registered in Urwa police station.

    BD has done agreat job by seizing 250 Kgs of beef.The sucess story continous.Only people are being fooled by these goons & Party.Next level may be fish or Mutton will be banned bcoz the people who lead them do not eat them.there are in minority 2%. When will these innocent people understand.

    Illegal slaughter is dangerous to public health... Consumer will not know whether the meat is from a healthy animal or not... Best is to give license to slaughter houses in the twin districts with certification mandatory from food department... Now that congress govt is in power legalizing's can be initiated to avoid such unpleasant incidents...

    You're absolutely right. You can send a legal notice to the local authorities on this regard. Beef is available in in all the authorized beef stalls under Mangalore city corporation
