Brahmavar, Sep 11: In connection with the Independence Day celebrations, the local association of Scouts and Guides conducted the Geeta Gayana Competition on August 19 at Rotary Bhavana here.
Mohammad Safan, Koustub S, Samarth S Kumar, Omkar Hebbar Airody, Daryl Joshua Pinto and Vihan Rai K, were the students of S.M.S. English Medium School CBSE Brahmavar secured first place and were selected for the district level.
On August 31, the district level competition was held and they were selected to participate at state level. The students were guided by the flock leader Uma Subramanya.
The teacher and students were congratulated by the school correspondent Fr M C Mathai, school principal Abhilasha and the entire SMS faculty.
