Mangaluru: Plastic waste management awareness programme held at Srinivasa University

Mangaluru, Sep 12: Srinivas University held an awareness programme on the theme of plastic waste management at the Srinivas University city campus, Pandeshwar on September 9.

The Srinivas University National Service Scheme, in collaboration with Mumbai's United Way, conducted the programme.


The resource persons Andrew Dice, Project Lead at United Way Mumbai, and Sandeep Shetty, field officer at United Way Mumbai, explained about plastic waste management.

The dean of the Institute of Management and Commerce, Prof Venkatesh Amin, spoke on plastic waste disposal and management.

The Srinivasa University NSS coordinator, Dr Lavina D'Mello gave the introductory speech. Prof Sharmila Shetty, Prof Shilpa K, Prof Yashasvini, Prof Sushmita, Prof Prajna and Prof Usha were present.

Student Trisha Rai compered the programme.
