Udupi, Sep 13: Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna called on chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar and district in-charge minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar and submitted a memorandum to them to release a package of Rs 50 crores for Udupi city roads, development of basic facilities and various other works in the district.
Suvarna urged the chief minister to respond positively, quickly and release funds immediately in view of the Paryaya festival for the management of Koosamma Shambhu Shetty Memorial Hospital of mother and children, to set right the dialysis unit in the district hospital, for starting a government medical college, starting of a new fire service station at Manipal and for the development of fisheries projects.
The MLA also requested the chief minister and ministers to participate in the Paryaya festival.
