BJP MLA Arvind Bellad vows to install Ganesh idol at Idgah Maidan in Hubballi

Hubballi, Sept 13 (IANS): Karnataka BJP MLA Arvind Bellad on Wednesday said that no matter what the Ganesh statue will be installed in Idgah Maidan in Hubballi city.

MLA Bellad said that Congress government is denying permission to celebrate Ganesh festival at the Idgah Maidan without reason only out of its appeasement politics.

“Siddaramaiah has celebrated Tipu Jayanthi which was not required. He had done namaz with Muslims. But, when asking permission for the Ganesh festival, it is not permitted,” MLA Bellad said.

He said that a letter has also been written to the district commissioner a month ago but there is no response from the government.

“Idgah Maidan is a property of the city corporation. The government can’t interfere. Whether they will give permission or not we will install the Ganesh idol at the site,” he said.

“I am speaking for the devotees of god Ganesh. I am conveying the feelings of people to the government. Last year, the Supreme Court had given permission to install the idol at the Idgah Maidan. This time it has also been decided to install a Ganesh idol. The corporation general meeting had given permission for this,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dalit Mahamandal leader Gurunatha Ullikashi has demanded that the Ganesh festival celebration should not be allowed at the Idgah Maidan in Hubballi.

He said that the government should not create situations of confrontation and tension.

“Let the Ganesh idol be installed in other places. The politics should not be carried on Idgah Maidan. If permission is given, we will stage a protest,” he said.

The principles of Shudra Dharma and Brahmin Dharma are distinct. Nevertheless, there is no issue with commemorating each other's festivals with mutual respect, affection, and a shared sense of humanity, without any attempt to assert dominance over one another .

Our worship may not become warship. God is one and the same for all. Worshiping God in any form is nothing but worshipping our own God. Those who want to worship God, worship peacefully. Religions must promote cooperation and not competition and destruction. Politics in worshipping God is dangerous to society. Festivals are celebrated for unity and prosperity. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.

These people wants to create problem and communal tensions, they do not want to celebrate festival in a peacefully manner and even these people do not want to see other people who are celebrating festival in peaceful manner. God needs peace not controversies and problems. These people will not survive without Hindu and Muslim agenda and communalism.

The colors are unfolding, the kavacha is dropping. Most of these are more anti national and less patriotic. One or other reason, they want people to be in the muck, no progress.

This is nothing but inciting communal feelings across masses.... If so much interested there are courts and he can file a public litigation to be heard... Stupid fellows ate state money and now charbi removing like this....

What this MLA is going to achieve by installing Ganesh idol at the Maidan or anywhere at roadsides etc.? It is a good thing if he installs it at his house where his family is living together and need to pray together. All people are worshipping their idols at their homes or at temples assigned for them. This act is simply to gain peoples attention, nothing else. There is no Ganesha's love or fear but his own benefit. People should decide. Jai Hind.

Every single BJP politician speaks only to instigate people and directly aimed at the minorities. This itself shows the agenda of the BJP. They just want divide. Thankfully majority of the Hindus dont support this. If that was the case, Karnataka would still be in the hands of BJP. BJP should understand all they have to do is fous on development and leave the rest to the voter. Divisional politics doesn't last long. I sincerely wish these guys understand that if Modiji is not in the equation, the BJP is a big bundle of empty vessel.

These mla mps think that they were elected to create hindu Muslim issues or to propagate religion or challenge authority using sensitive religious issues. They got it all wrong because we people are idiots, have allowed them to carry on. Any administration related discussion never happen with these.
