Kundapur, Sep 18: A car fell into a roadside ditch after the driver lost control of the vehicle on Sunday September 17 at Kerekatte near Hosangadi on Kundapur-Theerthahalli state highway.
The driver of the car escaped without injuries miraculously. He was going from Siddapura to Hosangady. The car was lifted from the ditch with the help of another vehicle by locals.
It is accused that the potholes on this particular stretch is the reason for the car to fall in the ditch. There are countless potholes on Kerekatte to Hosangadi. Neither local administration nor concerned department officials are paying attention in spite of repeated appeals for repair by the locals. Many two wheeler riders have also fallen in these potholes.
A few days ago, traffic policemen filled the potholes. However, due to the rain in past week, the potholes have appeared again.
