Mangaluru, Sep 19: Ganesh Chathurth was celebrated with spectacle and splendour at Expert PU College, Valachil on Tuesday September 19.

Students decorated the temple premises with festoons and flourishes. The Mahapuja was performed with Vedic verses and soothing bhajans. The chants of 'Ganapathi Bappa Moreya' vibrated the surroundings.

Students wore colour dress and enjoyed every bit of the festive moment exuberantly.

The chairman, Prof Narendra L Nayak and vice chairperson Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru were present at the morning Mahapuja. The chairman addressed the students to do hard work to reach the goal in a focused way and wished all to let Lord Ganesha bless abundantly.

Ankush N Nayak, director of information technology, architect Deepika A Nayak, Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, Raghavendra Shenoy, vice principal (admin) and other faculty were present.

Spices and chefs served the special festival lunch in plantain leaves to all.
