Mumbai, Sep 20: The 23rd annual meeting of Jayashree Krishna Parisara Premi Samithi was held at Bantara Sangha, Mumbai annexe auditorium, Kurla east on September 18. It was chaired by president L V Ameen in the presence of its founder Thonse Jayakrishna Shetty. Samithi office bearers and senior members inaugurated the meeting. President L V

Approval was obtained in the meeting to start local committees of the samithi in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. Popular organizer in the districts, D R Raju was elected unanimously as the new committee president in the districts.
Former president Dharmapal U Devadiga, vice president P Dhananjay Shetty, Nithyananda Kotian, C S Ganesh Shetty, advocate Shashidhar Kaup, Safalya Seva Sangha president Srinivas Safalya, Dr R K Shetty, Hiriadka Mohan Das and Dayasagar Chouta gave details of the future projects of the samithi. Tia Samaja former president Chandrashekar Belchada, Karnataka Vishwakarma Association former president G T Acharya, Vidyadayini Sabha Mumbai honorary chief secretary Chitrapu K M Kotian and others expressed their opinions.

D R Raju who was born in Gonibeedu, Moodigere taluk, Chikkamagaluru district started his career as a civil engineer and left a stamp in various projects by his excellent achievements. He has indulged in organizations such as Karnataka state farmers association from his school days. He grew as an important social leader later. His rapport with former chief minister S Bangarappa drew him to politics. He became popular as a political leader representing an important political party.
He later started living in Karkala and became multi-talented leader. He achieved substantial progress in political, religious and social spheres. He was the president of Karkala Billava Samaja Seva Sangha and spread his service through Rashmi Charitable trust. He has donated scholarships, funds, uniforms and notebooks to backward class students through the trust.
Besides educational assistance, his service includes health services, self-employment, sewing machines to women and students, shelter to destitute, assistance to construct houses, toilets and electricity to poor families. He has extended monetary help to auto drivers and ration to the poor.
He provided necessary facilities including food, medicines, ration and monetary help during the time of Covid. He also helped daily wage workers return to their hometowns.
He has immensely helped religious institutions.
He has indulged in various organizations. He is currently the advisor of Beereshwara cooperative association, director of Narayanaguru Urban Cooperative bank and vice president of Karnataka state Congress backward class samithi. His leadership and helpful nature inspires others and he is the capable leader for Jayashree Krishna Parisara Premi Samithi.
