Mangaluru, Sep 21: Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University recently hosted a mehendi competition for the undergraduate and postgraduate students on September 14 in their campus at Hampankatta.

It was a lively celebration of cultural heritage and artistic talent. Students from diverse Institutional teams converged to showcase their proficiency in applying intricate Mehendi designs. Judges, consisting of experienced artistes and faculty members, had the challenging task of selecting winners based on precision and creativity. The competition promoted cultural exchange and unity, bridging gaps among students.

Afra Fathima (II Year BBA aviation and logistics management) and Anupama (I year BBA aviation management) were announced as winners. Fathimath Faiza (I year BBA aviation travel and tourism management) and Gopika Subash (II year BBA aviation and logistics management) bagged second place. The third place was taken by Thaha Sheikh (I year BBA aviation and logistics management) and Anusree (II year BBA aviation and logistics management) from the UG level. Pratheeksha S Shetty (I year MBA aviation management) and Varsha (I year MBA aviation management) were announced as winners and Lanster Melroy (I year MBA aviation management) and Harriet Hiren D’Souza (I year MBA aviation management). 

Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, congratulated all the winners.The event's success reaffirmed the institute's commitment to fostering creativity and cultural appreciation among its students, eagerly anticipating next year's festivities.
