Ahmedabad Mangalurean community celebrates Monthi Fest

Ahmedabad, Sep 21: The Ahmedabad Mangalurean community celebrated the Monthi Fest on September 17. Fr Nelson and Fr Joe celebrated the Eucharist. The feast Mass was held at Mount Carmel Convent hall, Navrangpura. Core members of Ahmedabad Montisaibin group organized the celebration.

The Eucharist started with procession in the campus, flower showering to baby Mama Mary. The Eucharist, followed by Mother Mary’s birthday cake cutting by the children, then games, housie and ended with sumptuous pure vegetarian lunch.

Steven Rebello from Maninagar parish led the Konkani choir which was really very divine. David Colaco of St Xavier’s College parish conducted the games and housie. Imanuel Colaco of Mount Carmel Cathedral parish, digitally captured the event. Sisters of Mount Carmel Convent decorated the altar.

Around 170 plus Mangalurean people gathered from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar parishes of Gujarat state, had a very good time and enjoyed the feast.
