Udupi, Sep 22: “Udupi district administration should bring to the notice of the central government and the state government the irregularities at Udupi dialysis unit and to shift the Kendriya Vidyalaya school to a cleaner environment,” said Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Okkoota Udupi president Ansar Ahmed.
Speaking at a news conference here he said that protests will be taken up if the issues are not solved within the next three days. “The amount received out of begging and after cleaning public toilet pits will be remitted to the government sending a message that we will give money at least after begging,” he said.
“As many as 400 students study in the school at Pragatinagar, Manipal. There are plans to shift the school near the dumping yard at Pragathinagar. We oppose shifting the school to the place where people have to close their noses. The health of children is being completely neglected. The district administration should bring this matter to the notice of the centre and state governments and the school should be shifted to another place with a cleaner environment,” he said.
District president Ansar Ahmed, Sudhir Poojary, Gladson Ammanna, Suraj Poojary, Danny and Shahil Rehmatulla were present.
