Bahrain, Sep 23: Art, music, and drama are expressive forms of human creativity that have played integral roles in cultures worldwide for centuries. Each of these disciplines offers a unique avenue for individuals to convey emotions, tell stories, and communicate ideas, often transcending language barriers.
Krisben Music, known for its exceptional Konkani music videos over the past three years, is embarking on an exciting new venture in the Kingdom of Bahrain. They are proud to present ‘Mhojea Sangeetha - Sangeetha song, jivitha rong’, a Konkani musical drama. A poster release program was held at The Indian Club Bahrain on September 22, graced by community leaders, well-wishers and enthusiastic artists who are eagerly preparing for the upcoming show on November 3 at The Indian Club, Bahrain.
Christopher Roshan Lobo, representing Krisben Music, extended a warm welcome to the audience and shared insights into the forthcoming event and its underlying concept. He emphasized that this show has been meticulously designed to provide a platform and an opportunity for composers, lyricists, producers, scriptwriters, singers, drama artists, and dancers from the Konkani community residing in Bahrain to showcase their remarkable talents.
He elaborated that this is an entirely Bahraini production. The drama's story and script have been penned by Bahrain residents belonging to the Konkani community. Likewise, all the songs to be performed during the show have been created by Konkani lyricists, composers, or producers residing in Bahrain. The country boasts an abundance of talent in singing, drama, and dance, and all the performances have been meticulously arranged by Konkani artistes from Bahrain. He went on to highlight that this production marks a significant milestone in the Konkani cultural sphere. He expressed his desire to withhold additional information about the show, as he wishes for the audience to encounter the element of surprise firsthand.
He voiced his concern regarding the limited opportunities available for artists in Bahrain to showcase their talents, primarily attributed to a scarcity of events and the demanding pressures of work, among other factors. He emphasized that this show offers them a perfect opportunity to exhibit their remarkable skills. Additionally, he indicated his intention to host more such shows in the future should this one prove successful. Christopher Lobo earnestly sought wholehearted support from the talented artistes, generous benefactors, and the vibrant Konkani community to ensure the success of this remarkable event. This promises to be a momentous occasion that celebrates the rich cultural heritage and artistic talents of the Konkani community in Bahrain.
Present on the dais were Anand Lobo, Konkani community leader, Henry Castelino, and Nelson Menezes, leaders of the Konkani Catholic community of the Sacred Heart Church, Bahrain. Christopher Fernandes, well-wisher of Christopher Lobo, Joel D’Sa, Sanjay Sequeira representing Konkani Kutam Bahrain and Bellevision Bahrain and Prinson Machado from the singers’ team. Everyone on the dais unveiled the poster of the event titled ‘Mojhea Sangeetha’, everyone on the dais and members of the audience wished Christopher Lobo success in the event and pledged their support.
