Kundapur, Sep 23: The daily train which was running from Bengaluru to Mangaluru via Mysuru is extended to Murudeshwar. Railway department has positively responded to the request of change in timings and late journey raised by the public.
Mysuru MP who responded to the public opinion met union railway minister. Within few hours the railway minister has asked to reduce the journey time between Mangaluru and Suratkal. Now Southern Railway and South western railways are busy in correcting the timings.
Giving details Ganesh Puthran, president of Kundapur Railway Passengers’ welfare committee said, “I whole heartedly thank media, Mysuru MP Pratap Simha, railway minister and department who reported the timing issues of the train.”
A detailed report was telecast about the timing issues of Bengaluru-Mysuru-Murudeshwar daily train. According to the schedule it was taking four hours for the train to reach from Mangaluru to Kundapur. There was suspicion that railway department had bogged down to the pressure of Kerala lobby. Now it is known that the train will cover the distance in two hours.
