Bantwal: Car, rickshaw collision near Vagga– Auto driver killed

Bantwal, Sep 24: An autorickshaw driver got killed as his vehicle was hit by a car at Kadabettu Cross near Vagga in the taluk.

Vinayak Pai (45), a resident of Kempugudde is the unfortunate victim of this accident. It is said that Vinayak Pai was going to a hotel at Vagga to get breakfast for the daily wagers working at his house.

A Wagon R car that was moving towards Mangaluru from Beltangady collided with the autorickshaw.

Though a seriously injured Vinayak Pai was rushed to hospital, he breathed his last on the way.

Melkar traffic police visited the spot and have filed a case.

    RIP! Reading the number of deadly accidents in and around Mangalore almost every day, this place is near to become the accident capital! Two and three wheeler occupants should recite special prayers to their favourite Gods and Goddesses before leaving home that they return safely back with limbs intact; this holds true even for innocent pedestrians; very sad state of affairs for a small place!!

    RIP! Reading the number of deadly accidents in and around Mangalore almost every day, this place is near to become the accident capital! Two and three wheeler occupants should recite special prayers to their favourite Gods and Goddesses before leaving home that they return safely back with limbs intact; this holds true even for innocent pedestrians; very sad state of affairs for a small place!!
