Mangaluru: Agnes Towards Community - Cleanliness Campaign

Mangaluru, Sep 24: ATC, St Agnes College(Autonomous), Mangaluru on September 23 set up a cleanliness campaign. This task was taken up and volunteered by the students in order to ensure that the city is free of plastic and dumping.

The campaign began at 11:45 am, and the students assigned to clean various places were enthusiastic in keeping the city clean. Beginning from the college, the campaign moved on Kadri, Mallikatte, Shivabhagh, Bendorewell and Kankanady.

The students were assisted by their mentors. Cleanliness being one of the constraints for the development of a city, the waste is seen on the roads such as plastics, beer bottles, wrappers and so on making its citizens live in an unhealthy environment.

In order to make people aware as to why keeping the city clean and hygienic is necessary, the college took up the task to work towards the development.
