Mangaluru, Sep 25: District in-charge minister Dinesh Gundu Rao inaugurated the 'Janatha Darshana' programme at Townhall on Monday, September 25. The event, organized by the district administration and zilla panchayat, aims to address public grievances effectively.

In his address, Dinesh Gundu Rao emphasized the importance of such programs, highlighting that chief minister Siddaramaiah consistently conducts them to engage with the public and address their concerns. He noted that every district in-charge minister will now conduct similar programmes to provide a more people-friendly administration.

"People often face various problems related to different departments, and it is essential for the respective department officials to take responsibility for addressing these issues. Sometimes, due to bureaucratic hurdles, justice is delayed, or positive responses are lacking. Officials need to be vigilant and proactively address public problems to ensure swift resolution," said Dinesh Gundu Rao.

The 'Janatha Darshana' programme is seen as a revolutionary step towards delivering good governance and ensuring that government programmes effectively reach the public. It serves as a platform for receiving public feedback and suggestions. Every complaint received during the program will be diligently followed up, and a dedicated contact number will be provided to the public.

Dinesh Gundu Rao emphasized the importance of transparency in dealing with public issues, urging officials to keep citizens informed about the status of their documents and problems. This, he believes, will reduce unnecessary visits to government offices.

The program will continue in the coming days, fostering public trust in the government's ability to address their concerns. Additionally, 'Janatha Darshana' will be organized in nine taluks of the district on a rotating basis to reach residents in rural areas.

The event was attended by deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan, police commissioner Anupam Agrawal, district Congress president Harish Kumar, zilla panchayat CEO Dr Anand, corporator Shashidhar Hegde, Naveen D'Souza, superintendent of police C B Rishyanth, and others.
