Hazare, police in talks over fast period

New Delhi, Aug 17 (IANS) Anna Hazare and the Delhi Police are in negotiations over the number of days for a protest fast the social activist wants to hold in the capital, Hazare's close aide Kiran Bedi said Wednesday.

Though Delhi Police have agreed to most of the conditions for Team Anna to hold their fast, the police had not agreed to the one month the activists wanted. The police said the fast could be held for seven days, and was extendable.

Bedi said Hazare would not come out of the jail yet and talks were on on the number of days for the fast.
