Kasargod: 43-year-old loses life in pick-up-KSRTC bus collision

Kasargod, Sep 26: The driver of a stationary pick up died on the spot as his vehicle was hit by a KSRTC bus at Adkasthala of the district on Tuesday September 26.

The deceased is identified as Mustafa (43), a resident of Perla Maniayampare Pajjana. He had parked his vehicle carrying arecanut plants by the side of the road. The KSRTC bus driver, in a bid to avoid colliding with a car that was coming from the opposite side, hit the parked pick-up vehicle.

Driver of the pick-up Mustafa was seriously injured on the head. Though he was rushed to hospital in Mangaluru, he breathed his last. Another person in the pick-up was also injured.

Badiadka police have registered a case and are investigating further.

    Who is responsible? Who dunnit? In a country like ours we have to evaluate ourselves (even if we know who is at fault) and get the answers. Anyway, a precious life has been snuffed out. There won't be an end to this.
