Customs officials seize Rs 46.52 lac worth of smuggled gold at Mangaluru International Airport

Mangaluru, Sep 27: Sleuths of the Mangaluru Customs seized gold totalling worth Rs 46.52 lac which was being smuggled from Dubai in separate incidents on September 23 and 24.

As many as five passengers were carrying 775 grams of 24-carat gold quality which were found separately stuck and hidden in their inner wear, airpods and rods of their trolley bag.

The passengers were trying to smuggle the precious metal into the country from Dubai, the customs department officials said.
