Kundapur, Sep 28: Truck owners and drivers have intensified their protest against the order of district administration and SP to transport goods of building construction legally.

Truck owners and drivers began indefinite protest near Kota Moorkai. They parked their trucks near the road in queue from Kota high school to Kota.

Former minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi, BJP leader Kidiyoor Udaya Kumar Shetty and local lawyers met the protesting drivers and owners of trucks and held discussion with them. Kota Srinivas Poojary called DC and asked to organize a meeting in the presence of all MLAs.

Truck owners have urged not to file case on their trucks as they run within the limits of Udupi district. All construction workers of the district are sitting idle as they do not have material to continue work.

Bhoja Poojary, Janardhana Poojary, Vinod Devadiga and others were present in support of the protesters.
