Mangalore, Aug 20: The district court in Ernakulam, Kerala, has again ordered Sri Raghavendrateertha, former disciple and Patta Shishya of Sri Sudhindrateertha Swamiji, spiritual head of Kashmi Mutt Samsthan, to restore all the idols of gods and other paraphernalia that traditionally belong to the lineage of Kashi Mutt Swamijis but are currently held by him, back to Sri Sudhindrateertha Swamiji.

During the process of execution of the previous decree granted against Raghavendrateertha, the court ordered him to produce all the idols, movable assets and other things in his possession, within 15 days.

As per the court decree dated January 28, 2009, Raghavendrateertha was asked to vest the assets belonging to Kashi Mutt which he continued to retain with him, back to Sri Sudhindrateertha Swamiji. During the last about 30 months, Raghavendrateertha, in violation of various orders issued by the Supreme Court and lower courts, continued to keep the above things with him.

The Ernakulam district court, while passing the above order, rejected Raghavendrateertha’s contention that the court does not have the jurisdictional power to pass decree against him, as he is on a tour in places that fall outside the limits of this district court.
