Mangaluru: Workshop on 'IPR, Patents & Designs Filing' held at St Aloysius College

Mangaluru, Oct 6: St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru in association with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM), government of India, Nagpur, Under National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission, organised a national level online workshop on 'Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & Patents and Designs filing' on October 3, through hybrid mode.

Dr Bharat N Suryawanshi, assistant controller of patents and designs, RGNIIPM, Nagpur, was the resource person for the day. Dr Bharat N Suryawanshi, spoke about what Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), patent, inventions and designing meant. He spoke about how an individual can invent his\her own product and how the designing of the product must be done. He encouraged the participants to use their creativity to invent or design something and that one does not need to have a particular degree to invent or design something.

About 240 participants took part in the workshop.
