Mangaluru: ‘Talent Synergy 2023’ held at St Ann’s College of Education

Mangaluru, Oct 6: St Ann’s College of Education (Autonomous) Mangaluru, organized ‘Talent Synergy-2023’ a two-day talent fest for BEd students on October 3-4. The purpose of the event was to encourage student teachers to identify and unfold their hidden talents and to provide substantial opportunities to showcase them. Students were divided into five groups namely Ruby, Topaz, Emerald, Sapphire and Solitaire.

Competitions like ad- creative (creative advertisement), ostendio (display of collection of items), folk fusion (folk dance), stitch splash (t-shirt designing), floral fusion (wild flower arrangement), raga ranjini (eastern singing), crescendo (western singing) and footlights (English skit) were held.

 

The inaugural ceremony of Talent Synergy was held on October3. Dr Sr Lydia Fernandes A C, former principal, St Ann’s College of Education, Mangaluru was the chief guest. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings, followed by symbolically lighting the lamp. The chief guest Dr Sr Lydia Fernandes A C, in her inaugural address, stressed that the purpose of competitions is overall development of students, therefore every student teacher should take this opportunity to unleash her talents. She wished well to all the participants for an active participation and healthy competition during the Talent Synergy-2023. Dr Sr Dorothy D’Souza A C., principal welcomed and introduced the chief guest, Shwetha compered the programme, Sharanya proposed the vote of thanks. The overall championship was bagged by Team Ruby and Team Topaz won the runners up. The competitions were executed as per the schedule under the guidance and supervision of the faculty.

The BEd and MEd students shared responsibilities in organizing the competitions. Dr Laveena D’Sa, assistant professor, coordinated the programme.
