Sad it happened .Mobile fones should nt be in baggage but carry with you in pockets.Usually they take out in check in centre extra for such batteries. Now no use of complains. There are enough thieves in airports who are stealing whole suitecase within minutes.Have to be careful.Hope he may get it back .But less hopes. One need not ring moiless from outside as gifts .In India we get everything .

You cannot put any items including cell phones containing Lithium ion batteries in the cargo bags. Someone at the security may have checked the bag and fliked it

Don't know if Indigo is handling baggage. But, indigo team are acting like dictators. Since the Indian Govt is so pro-businessmen there is less hope for ordinary citizens. No competiton in Airline industry. it is like monopoly of very few airlines company. Sad situation.

This is not new for Transit passengers, me and my wife travelled in June connected flight from Dubai to Mangalore, after reaching home we found that few eatables have been stolen from our baggage, this happens in Mumbai airport where we have to wait for hours to catch a connected flight to Mangalore. We did not had any mobile or electronic items, they have taken eatables, such an poor ppl, we will never again will go Via. It's strange that we had VIP brand suitcases, but thieves are really talented to open the suitcase from zipline side and press it again so they don't need to open any lock. Wow.

No security or scanner staff have right to remove or open the luggage off any passenger, they have doubt then or species goods will be open in front of the passenger in customs area. Saner or security staff makes a cross mark to identify the luggage for custom clearance officer.
