Udupi: Thieves decamp with gold worth Rs 73.06 lac from house

Udupi, Oct 10: Thieves broke the main door and door of master bed room of a house at decamped with lacs of rupees worth of gold that was kept in the almirah of the house.

The theft took place on the interim period of October 8 in the house of Ammunje Vittaldas Nayak on fourth cross of Lala Lajpat Roy Marg of Shivalli village.

The thieves took away 1.882 kg of golden ornaments worth Rs 66.36 lac and silver ware weighing 7.45 kg worth Rs 6.75 lac.

A case is filed in Udupi city police station in this regard.

    Why people keep so worthy Gold in house and go away without keeping secure ?Dont keep it in Bedroom all vaueables.Thieves will first search in cupboard in sleeping room.Instead keep in bank safe or with people who are good friends.When lost atleast you know where it is gone.

    i feel the gold that was kept at home is also not white....in any case there is nothing to be tensed..give 24 hours to our Sidda devaraya khaki force....thieves will be at the doorstep of the house from where they stole....
