Mangaluru: 21-year-old loses life in accident at Kuntikan

Mangaluru, Oct 12: A scooter rider was killed as he was hit by a car as he was coming out of a private hospital at Kuntikan in the city late night on Wednesday October 11.

Kaushik (21), a resident of Kavoor, is the unfortunate victim of this tragedy.

As Kaushik was coming out of the hospital, his scooter hit an auto-rickshaw. Kaushik fell on the road.

In the meantime, a car that was passing by, ran over him, killing Kaushik on the spot.

    The Rickshaw parking should be pushed back by 10 metres atleast as it obstructs the view of the vehicles coming from Kuntican side...

    Atleast have speed breaketrs near the exit gate. I have noticed that very few Road users use the Indicators. The Rickshaws should not be allowed to park close to the Main Gate...They block the view of the approach road......They should be allowed to park some 50 feet away from the Security booth... One Young Life lost for nothing.....

    Tragedy waiting to happen for vehicle coming out of the hospital..since no speed breakers on the service road since long
