Mangaluru: Srinivas University faculty Dr Sandhya Shenoy among top 2% world’s scientists

Mangaluru, Oct 12: Dr Sandhya Shenoy, SERB research scientist from department of materials science and engineering of Institute of Engineering and Technology, Srinivas University, Mukka has made it to the list of top 2% scientists in the ‘Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators’, published by Stanford University during the current year based on the composite score.

Dr Shenoy’s research mainly involves materials for energy and environmental applications focusing on thermoelectric and photocatalytic properties. She has also received the coveted Associateship from Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru in 2023. She has been awarded a certificate of appreciation as a top 5 % highly cited author internationally by Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), London for the last three consecutive years. In addition to this, she has also been selected as one of the excellent leading female researchers publishing impactful work in materials science and nanosciences by RSC, London in the year 2023.

These achievements have been highly appreciated by chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, pro-chancellor Dr A Srinivas Rao, Srinivas University. Chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao congratulated Dr Sandhya for her accomplishments at a very young age.
