Brahmavar: Annual general body meeting of PTA held at GM Vidyaniketan School

Brahmavar, Oct 12: The parent teachers association’s annual general body meeting of GM Vidyaniketan Public School was held on Thursday October 12.

Dr Virupaksha Devaramane, psychiatrist of Dr AV Baliga Memorial Hospital was the chief guest for the meeting. Speaking on the ‘new generation parenting’ he said, “We need to give time to our children, we have to reserve time for our children in our daily schedule.”

School principal George Kurian answering the questions of the parents said, “Children are mobile slaves today. There is a need to develop the awareness of philosophical life and the ability to recognize right and wrong.”

Srinidhi Sachin Kumar, president of Teacher Protection Association said, “GM Vidyaniketan gives importance to personal development along with value education for every child. This is a pride for all of us.”

PTA vice president Nagaraja Somayaji said, “All of us should fulfil the first needs of children. Everyone should participate in parent meetings and learn about children.”

Prakashchandra Shetty, chairman of the school management board said that “Our children are our assets, our priority is to give them good education and culture. May your cooperation continue like this”.

The parents spoke highly of the institution. Nagaraja Somayaji was elected as the new president of the Parent Teachers' Association and Preeti was elected as the vice president. Parents and teachers were present.
