Udupi: Five accused of stealing iron sheets, rods worth Rs 18 lacs from Hejmady port area held

Udupi, Oct 13: Police have arrested five men accused of stealing iron sheets and rods worth Rs 18 lacs from Hejmady Kody port area.

A case of theft of iron sheets and rods valued at Rs 18,00,078 from Hejmady Kody area between August 24 and September 25 by unidentified individuals had been registered earlier at Padubidri police station.
 












 
Padubidri PSI and staff conducted the investigations under the leadership of Kaup CPI and arrested the accused who have been identified as Mohammed Haseeb, Nizamuddin, Mohammed Hafeez and Mohammed Ashir K while Hamza Belthandagy had received the goods from the four accused. All of them were produced to the court.

Iron MS sheets worth  Rs 5,76,653, Rs 61,382 worth iron rods, Rs 3 lacs worth Tata Ace vehicle, a pick-up vehicle worth Rs 5 lacs and Rs 7 lacs worth Innova car were confiscated by the police from the accused.

    A shame to these guys.Work hard and not steal and make money .No wonder people hate such ones.Why should you steal others worthy things and make money?You will not be happy with it and will go as it came in four times back .Arrest them and lock them up for years.
