Mangaluru: Citizens getting trapped in Vedic, Sanatana Dharma ideology - Dr Baali

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (DV)

Mangaluru, Oct 15: People have been trapped in the Vedic and Sanatana Dharma philosophy so much so that the four Vedas have become traps for mankind and humanity, said researcher Dr Meenakshi Baali.

She was speaking during the 14th Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) Dakshina Kannada convention at Bishop Jathanna Hall here on Sunday, October 15.

Slamming prime minister Narendra Modi, she said the PM is spreading lies stating that the country will become 'Vishwa Guru'. “Our country figures among the under developed countries in the hunger index. In India, people living in BJP-ruled states are living in poverty and mired in unemployment. There is no development in these states. Unemployment has risen in the country. But, Modi is lying to the people of the country and he is stating that unemployment and poverty have risen in the post pandemic era. How can the assets of Ambani and Adani rise so drastically?” she questioned.

Also, she claimed that Indians are suffering from malnutrition. “But for the BJP and Sangh Parivar peoples’ problems is not an issue. Instead, polarising people on the basis of religion for political gains is their ideology,” she said.

Dr Baali alleged that all government sectors are being commercialised by the BJP due to which the youths are getting right jobs. “Culture of DYFI is to love people. But Sangh Parivar is an organisation that spreads hatred. We comrades don't budge for hatred or fear, instead we will oppose your ideology of hatred,“ she said.

“They want to create violence in the name of ideology. Only the youths from backward classes and the downtrodden are behind bars. But, no one from the upper caste has gone to jail in the state of uncontrolled excitement of protecting religion,” she said.

She also termed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as ‘Rashtriya Sarvanasha Sangha’. She questioned the contribution of RSS to the nation's freedom struggle. “Freedom fighters like Bhagath Singh and others have been hijacked by leaders of Sangh Parivar,” she said.

Stating that the youths of DYFI are courageous, it was Veer Savarkar who apologised to the British government. “It is you people who are cowards. Murderers like Nathuram Godse and others are your icons. In the name of religion, you are sending youths of backward classes to jails,” Dr Baali said.

She alleged that VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell is running his business in a mall which belongs to Muslims. “If Muslim youths can talk with Hindu girls in malls why can’t they talk in public places?” Meenakshi questioned.

She alleged that nearly 30,000 Muslim girls have not written the exams last year due to the Hijab issue. "The ideology of Sangh Parivar and Kalladka Prabhakar can only kill us but you cannot defeat ideology," she said.

She also said that hospitals and education institutions are being run by capitalists. Dr Baali alleged that all government sectors are being commercialized by the BJP due to which the youths are not getting right jobs.

State president of DYFI Munir Katipalla said the elected representatives of BJP do not speak about unemployment, poverty or problems of the common people. "Instead, they want to gain power by dividing people on the basis of religion," he said.

"As the elections are fast approaching, Sangh Parivar is using various strategies to further their political gains," he said,

Slamming the recently held Shaouriya Yatre of VHP, he said Prabhakar Bhat or Sharan Pumpwell are not speaking about the problems of the common man. They are in favour of capitalists.

He added that people should know the real history of Tulunadu. "What is the contribution of Sangh Parivar to Tulunadu?" he asked.

He also said that people should oppose communal polarisation and give the right answer to communal politics in the upcoming elections.

District president of DYFI BK Imthiyaz spoke on the occasion. Secretary Santhosh Bajal and others were also present.

Caste system is contagious and dangerous to society; so as racism too. Only classless and casteless society is healthy which practices equality and respect to one self and respect to others too.
