Kundapur: Kundagannada Utsav to be held in UAE on Oct 29

Kundapura, Oct 17: Kundagannada Utsav, which is successfully organized every year by Namma Kundapra Kannada Balaga Gulf, will be held this year also. This information was shared by leader of Kundapra Kannada Balaga N Raghurama Devadiga.

On October 29, Yakshagana presentation by Mandarti troupe is arranged at Ajman city of UAE from 11 am to 6 pm. The play is titled ‘Papanna Vijaya-Gunasundari.’

In the stage programme that will be held on the same day, three achievers will be honoured with Kundapra Kannada Ratna award. Renowned herbal doctor of Padukone Maxim Olivera, animal lover and social worker Sanjeeva Devadiga and life guard diving expert Dinesh Kharvi will be conferred with the award.

Journalist Arun Shiroor said, “Namma Kundapra Kannada Balaga has organized several social activities right from the day it was founded. It has given several contribution to the field of health and education. Especially, when natives of Kundapur face issues in Arab countries, it responds and helps them. During Covid it made flight arrangements for those who were returning to native place, masks for Udupi district hospitals and kits.

“In this grand celebration organized by Namma Kundapra Kannada Balaga, president Sadan, secretary Sudhakar Poojary, sponsors, honorary president and members living in various gulf countries will take part.”

Sheena Devadiga, Sudhakara Acharya and Tammaiah Devadiga were present in the press conference.
