Udupi: National Innovation Day marked at SMVITM, Bantakal

Udupi, Oct 17: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) Innovation Council in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell organized 'National Innovation Day' on October 16. The inaugural function of this program was held in the institute premises.

Chief guest, Dr Arun Mohan Isloor, head Science and Technology Entrepreneur’s Park (STEP) inaugurated the session. In his address Dr Arun Mohan Isloor offered a lot of motivation and inspiration for students to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. He also mentioned about essential characteristics required for the entrepreneurs such discipline, vision, adaptability, creativity, communication and idea generation etc. He concluded his speech by giving tips on entrepreneurship and quoted that skill and hard work makes the entrepreneur successful in his career.

Prof Dr Ganesh Aithal vice principal, SMVITM, briefed students about the program and the importance of Innovation. Usha Parvathi, assistant professor in department of physics introduced the chief guest to the gathering. Sahana Karanth senior assistant professor in the department of CSE welcomed the gathering.The programme concluded by the vote of thanks by Dr Madhukar Nayak coordinator of institution's innovation council. All the coordinators of institution's innovation council dean, hods, and participants were present at the programme. The programme began with an invocation by Ashwith and was compered by Clinton.
