Mangaluru, Oct 22: The KSET/NET/JRF 2023 crash course sessions on Mathematical reasoning and aptitude was held at Yenepoya Arts Science Commerce and Management College, Balmatta Campus here on October 21. The resource person of the session was Anjana Aravind, CSIR Research Fellow, Centre for Systems Biology and Molecular Medicine,Yenepoya Reseach Centre, Mangaluru.
Dr Niyaz Panakaje, co-ordinator of YEN-REFINED welcome the resource person. In his welcome address, he urged the participants, to work out on the Mathematical and Aptitude papers which will be essential to score the marks in Paper I of these types of competitive exams.
In the session, the resource person Anjana Aravind worked out the concept of how to find out solution, for logical reasoning with equations and short cut methods which are essential to complete the exam under the given time constraint. The participants had interactive session with the resource person, regarding solving mathematical problems with simple way. During the session study material were shared.. Participants went through the mock test at the end of the session.
The resource person for the afternoon session was Dr Abdul Razak, assistant professor, Dr G Shankar Govt Women’s college Udupi. He took the session on the topic "Teaching Aptitude and Logical Reasoning." The main objective of this session was to help the participants to get acquainted with the question that are related to logical reasoning. The session helped the participants to get used to solve the questions related to coding, decoding, analogical aspects etc. The session also comprised of mock test which helped the participants to solve the mcq.
The principal of Yenepoya Arts Science Commerce and Management, Dr Arun A Bhagwath, in his closing remarks, addressed the participants wherein, he requested the participants to make best use of the opportunities, created by the institution to clear these kinds of competitive exams which are essential to shape the growth of teaching career. He also motivated the faculties by saying, learning new things, should be part of teaching faculty to face competitive world which is need of the hour.
Dr Niyaz Panakaje, co-ordinator, Yen-Refined was present on the occasion. Dr Prashanth, associate professor welcomed the gathering and proposed a vote of thanks.
