Bantwal: Auto-rickshaw topples, passenger falls on road, dies

Bantwal, Oct 24: In an accident that occurred at Peruvayi-Beripadavu Road between an auto-rickshaw and a scooter, the passenger in the auto-rickshaw, fell on the road and died.

The deceased is identified as Nagesh Bhat (47), a resident of Bayaru Peruvodi. Vinod and Annu, who suffered injuries were admitted to hospital.

The accident occurred when the auto-rickshaw was trying to overtake another vehicle. The auto-rickshaw got toppled and Nagesh, the passenger in the auto-rickshaw fell on the road.

The medical officer of Vittal community hospital confirmed the death of Nagesh.
