New Delhi, Aug 25 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Thursday that he might have made mistakes but denied accusations that he had ever "connived with corruption".
In his reply to the debate on rise in corruption Thursday in the Lok Sabha, the prime minister said the "government would do everything possible to cleanse the system".
"We need to find credible solutions to deal with the scourge of corruption."
Referring to the charges made by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Murli Manohar Joshi Wednesday that he had overlooked corruption involving his cabinet colleagues, the prime minister said it was below his dignity to respond to accusations on issues which were being examined by the PAC (Public Accounts Committee) and the Supreme Court.
