Brahmavar sugar factory scrap sale scam – District farmers’ union files private complaint in court

Brahmavar, Oct 24: The Udupi District Farmers’ Association registered a private complaint at the court of additional civil judge urging investigation against Administrative committee supported by BJP and officials of Brahmavar sugar factory in which it is alleged that more than Rs 14 crore scam has taken place in sale of scrap.

The judge who held the inquiry on the complaint has ordered Brahmavar police station to conduct suitable investigation on the alleged scam and submit report to the court before December 12, 2023.

Recently, a huge protest was held at Brahmavar by the Congress and farmers’ union urging investigation into the scam.

Sudhir Kumar Murolli, chief secretary of Karavali Malenadu federation and Congress leader had vehemently condemned the scam and urged for investigation.

Lawyer R Jagannath argued for the complainant.

    It is political propoganda by so called raitha sangha. by the way what is the contribution of these raitha sangha guys who put green shawl infront of camera. most of them are contractors . If You say its a scam , what is your plan to rejuvenate the factory which is almost in dead stage from so many years. You cant run the factory as of now . there were so much debt in the name of the factory. So the action done by committe of suprasad shetty is justified.
