New Delhi, Aug 25: In a major breakthrough, civil society leader and social activist Anna Hazare has put three tricky conditions before the Government to end his 10-day fast. This was in his response to the 'discussion' offer by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the all members of parliament.
Earlier, on behalf of all the parliament members, including opposition leaders Prime minister made an emotional appeal to Anna Hazare to end his fast and pay attention to his health. All the points pertaining to Jan Lokpal bill and the Government drafted Lok Pal bill will be discussed in the parliament in details, he had assured.
Respecting the PM’s appeal, the core committee members of Anna’s team discussed the matter and according to sources, Anna has put three conditions. They are:
1. Start the discussion in parliament immediately regarding the introduction of Lokayukta in each and every state.
2. Start discussion in the parliament about adopting citizens' charter.
3. Start discussion in parliament on getting the lower bureaucracy under the ambit of Lokpal
Now ball in n the Government’s court, as it is interesting to see how the Government will react.
According to experts, these are tricky, but simple conditions and the Government should not be hesitant in accepting it.
