Srinagar, Oct 26 (IANS): An army soldier allegedly shot himself dead on Thursday in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pampore area.

Officials said that an army soldier shot himself dead with his service rifle in Chandhara area of Pampore tehsil of Pulwama district today.

“Police has taken cognizance of the incident and investigation has been started to find out the reason for the soldier taking the extreme step”, officials said.
