Mangaluru, Oct 27: A man is trying to impersonate city police commissioner Anupam Agrawal and seeking money through WhatsApp.

A man claiming to be police commissioner Anupam Agrawal is sending messages seeking money with a pretext of being in the hospital.

Using a fake number, in the name of Mangaluru police commissioner, the miscreant is seeking money with a message saying, “I am in the hospital and my UPI is not working. I need some money. Can you transfer? I will return within one hour.”

    Such things happening nowadays. Even I have received a request from a fake priest asking urgent money from Facebook and WhatsApp. But got suspicious and contacted the real priest Fr. Lancy D'souza ((original from Kemmannu) he said do not entertain such person somebody has created created a fake ID in my name. So better be careful.
