Mumbai, Aug 26: Following Amitabh Bachchan’s tweet declaring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s pregnancy, the actress had to give up her role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’. Now, the actress has returned a cheque to her producer that was sent to her as a signing amount for the movie.
Sources say that Ash was not asked to return the cheque and senior officials of UTV Motion Pictures were surprised when the cheque was returned.
Ash was in complete right to keep the cheque as she had worked on the sets for at least eight days. She also took part in ‘look tests’ where the actress is photographed in her costumes.
A source close to the star said, “Aishwarya didn’t do that. In fact, she was also informed that she is no more a part of the project when ideally the producers could have waited for some months for her. They announced that the film was off and now the film is on again”.
