Mangaluru: Girl Child Day observed at St Agnes PU College

Mangaluru, Oct 30: St Agnes PU College celebrated Girl Child Day on October 30. Kaveri T, KAS, labour officer was the guest of honour. Shamitha and Venishia hosted the porgramme. Ruth welcomed and introduced the chief guest. The occasion began with a prayer song followed by a dance drama depicting the importance of girl child. The chief guest Kaveri T spoke on the importance of girl child education and also told the students about the various competitive exams under the government sectors. She encouraged the students to answer them and to never stop dreaming high.

To continue the mission of our founder Venerable Mother Veronica of educating and empowering girls, scholarships were distributed to the 11 needy students under the aegis of the Abhaya Forum headed by DrTressie Menezes.

Nisarga proposed a vote of thanks. Preema and Carol were the convenors of the programme.
