Mangaluru, Nov 1: In a dazzling display of cultural pride and fervent enthusiasm, Carmel School's auditorium was transformed into a kaleidoscope of Karnataka's vibrant heritage on the auspicious occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava on November 1 as the students of grades 2c, 3c, and 7c under the able guidance of Lolita, Ashwitha and Hazel Lobo - class mentors orchestrated a mesmerizing celebration.

The festivities commenced with the vibrant flag hoisting ceremony, where the esteemed Umesh Karanth, the chief guest of the day, led the hoisting of the flag alongside other distinguished dignitaries. Amidst the auspicious lighting of the lamp by Sr Lilly Pushpa - the Principal, Umesh Karanth, Sr Dr Prem D’Souza - the administrator, Sr Premal - the vice principal and a soulful prayer service, the stage was set for a riveting showcase of Karnataka's culture and traditions, brought to life through captivating dances and melodious renditions of 'Hacchevu kannadadha Deepa'. Karanth's resonant words on the importance of Kannada struck a chord with the attendees, adding depth to the commemoration.

The event's dynamic hosting team, comprising Austin, Kerthana, Niharika, Ruban, Apeksha, Tanya, Rilha, Velrisha and Panchami, guided the audience through the cultural extravaganza, with Nitasha and Rifda extending heartfelt gratitude. The morning culminated with leaving an enduring impression on the hearts of all those present, solidifying Carmel School's embrace of the spirit of Kannada Rajyotsava.
