Mangaluru, Nov 1: Billava Sangha Kuwait (BSK) is entering the eighth year of its educational program for deserving students from underprivileged backgrounds within the community. In alignment with the profound message of Brahma Shree Narayana Guru, "Education Liberates Oneself," BSK launched the scholarship program in 2016 in collaboration with Shree Guru Charitable Trust, Surathkal.
The Scholarship Distribution and Motivation program for this year took place on Sunday, October 29, at Adhyaksha Koragappa Memorial Hall, Shree Gokarnanatha Kshetra, Kudroli, Mangalore. The event was live-streamed on YouTube, allowing BSK members to virtually attend.
In her address, President Sushma Manoj shared insights into Billava Sangha Kuwait's journey and expressed her gratitude to all BSK members who generously contributed to this noble initiative. She also extended her thanks to Shree Guru Charitable Trust for their significant survey work, which made this Education Program a reality. Sushma Manoj offered her blessings and best wishes to the students.
During the event, former BSK members Shanmukha Poojary, Gangadhar Das, and Gautham Suvarna had the honor of distributing checks to deserving students. A total scholarship amount of Rs 5,99,000 was distributed among 75 students pursuing various educational paths, including post-graduation, engineering, diploma, law, degree, pre-university, and trade courses.
In his motivational speech, Shanmukha Poojary encouraged the students to work diligently and maintain their hope and determination. He commended the commendable work carried out by Billava Sangha Kuwait.
BSK extends its appreciation to the Welfare officer Charanraj Suvarna, joint welfare officer Sukumar Karkera, and their team for their efforts in ensuring the success and memorable experience of the event.
