Mangaluru: SUIET organizes ‘24 Hrs Hackathon 2023’

Mangaluru, Nov 2: Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology (SUIET) Mukka organized a ‘24 Hrs Hackathon 2023’ on October 29 and 30 at Srinivas University Mukka campus.

The chief guest of the programme, Srinivas University registrar Dr Anil Kumar congratulated students and said, this hackathon is a learning experience where students can prove their abilities and develop a solution. He advised the students to be confident to make mistakes and learn from them.

SUIET dean Dr Thomas Pinto, Srinivas University webflow community mentor Dr Sushma Akkaraju, and programme convenor Ranjit Kolkar were present.

The first prize was bagged by St Joseph Engineering College for presenting an app that empowers patients with seamless healthcare access in emergencies through NFC cards and AI chatbots.

The second place was bagged by Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management for presenting an application called ‘Doctor Digital’ which provides medical theories, a thesis, an appointment bot and a medical chatbot.

The third prize was secured by Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology for creating an application on mental health which helps with anxiety-related issues.

A potential product prize was secured by team developers of SUIET College for creating a college website which includes job lists and fund collections.
