Mangaluru: Several take part in Karaoke competition

Mangaluru, Nov 5: The karaoke singing competition 'Kadri Parkdu Parbada Mela' was held in a grand manner. The programme was organised by the Shanthadurga Self-help Group, Mangaladevi, Mangaluru from November 3 to 5 at Kadri Park.

Over 50 participants took part in the competition in two categories - (1 to 5 years) at the junior level and (6 to 10 years) at the senior level. The participants entertained the audience with their different songs.

Under the junior category, Vrushti V K Mangaluru secured the first prize while Ashmith A J Mangaluru and Samanvi Ramesh Gerukatte bagged the second prize. 

Under the senior category, Mrunal D Bhat secured the first place and Rashi U Shetty got the second place.

International Aryabhata awardee singer Chandrashekar Mangaluru and singer Gayathri Prakash were judges for the competition.

The selfie gallery was the special attraction of the programme.

Today, in the evening at 5 pm, under the direction of Jaideep Ammai of Kalatapsvi team dance, magic, tabla, flute and other entertainment programmes will be held.

Well-known singer of coastal Karnataka and host Rakshan Madoor and well-known dancer Nishanth Shetty will take part.
