Brahmavar: Case filed over party with alcohol consumption at Ambedkar Bhavan

Brahmavar, Nov 8: A party with alcohol consumption was reportedly held at Ambedkar Bhavan, Tenkubirthi, Varamballi here.

A police case is registered against Shamraj Birthi, Suresh, Shiva and Prashanth in this connection. It is said that Tenkubirthi, Varamballi grama, Dasamsa leader Shamraj Birthi had held the party after the programme to congratulate his son on his selection in a national tournament.

Savita Varamballi has filed a police complaint in this connection. She has alleged that Shamraj Birthi has illegally entered the Ambedkar Bhavan with his friends without obtaining permission from the panchayat or concerned department. “He has misused the Ambedkar Bhavan and illegally consumed alcohol in it”, she alleged.

She mentioned in the complaint that the accused threatened and hurled expletives when she went to shoot a video of the incident. A case in this connection is registered at Brahmavar police station.
