Mangaluru, Nov 8: “The extension of Vande Bharat Express from the state’s capital Bengaluru to the coast was the long-time demand of people in this part of the state. A positive response in this connection is received from the union government,” stated MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

“Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express is well-equipped to run and the time table will be released very soon. The request made for Mangaluru-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express was fruitful and will be realized soon. I thank the union government on behalf of the citizens of the district for this good news”, he said.

There were urges to extend till Mangaluru the Vande Bharath Express train that runs between Kasargod and Thiruvananthapuram. There was also a proposal in front of the railway department to run Vande Bharat Express between Mangaluru-Madgaon and Mangaluru-Ernakulam. But as MP Nalin, the new Vande Bharat Express between Madgaon-Mangaluru will run soon. There are also indications that the demand of people on the coast for Vande Bharat Express between Mangaluru–Bengaluru will also be realized.
