Mangaluru: Accused absconding for last thirteen years arrested

Mangaluru, Nov 10: Mangaluru north police station personnel have arrested an accused who has been absconding without appearing in the court for the last thirteen years.

The accused arrested is identified as Mohammed Hanif alias Gujari Hanif, a resident of Kuthar, Ullal.

He was an accused under crime No. 26/2010 under section 174(A) IPC. The court had declared the case as LPC. Mangaluru north police station PSI Vinayaka Toragal and staff HC Chandrahas Sanil and PC Anand equipped with LPC warrant on November 9 arrested the accused under the guidance of Mangaluru north police station inspector Ajmat Ali and directions of Mangaluru central division ACP Mahesh Kumar. Police commissioner Anupam Agarwal has commended the arrest operations of the police.
