Puttur: Youths, minors nabbed for brandishing swords in front of Arun Kumar Puthila's office

Moodbidri, Nov 10: In an incident that unfolded on Friday, November 10, during mid-day, several youths in Mukrampadi, within the jurisdiction of the Puttur City Police Station, were apprehended by the police for publicly brandishing swords. The issue happened in front of Puthila Parivara office belonging to Arun Kumar Puthila, who quit BJP and contested Assembly polls in Puttur as independent candidate, it is said.

The accused individuals involved in this incident are Dinesh Panjiga (38) of Shantigodu village, Bhavit (19) of Narimogaru Village, Manvith (19),  a resident of Bolwaru, Jayaprakash (18) of Aryapu Village, Charan (23) of village Chikmudnoor, Manisha (23) of Bannur village and Vineeth (19) of Puttur Kasaba village.

Additionally, two underaged boys were also taken into police custody. The Puttur City Police Station registered a case under AcR: 108/2023 and initiated an investigation.

The police have requested the public to refrain from providing a platform to any false narratives and to avoid spreading misinformation regarding this incident.
